Coaching Career Highlight:
Watching my U9 Rec Girls Team develop from daisy-pickers into competitors.
Playing Career Highlight:
At my age, every day that I get to play soccer is a career highlight.
Why do you like coaching for CiTY?:
I’m excited to join the CiTY team! I love the family atmosphere and the focus on player development.
Personal Info:
Soccer is fun! That’s what has kept me playing for more than 30 years, and that’s what brings our kids out to the field week after week. My goal is to keep kids interested in soccer by building foundational skills, a growth mindset, and team collaboration. With the right attitude, the players will build their confidence and capacity to play the game.
I am a high school National Board Certified English Educator in Howard County with 17 years of experience teaching, coaching, and mentoring young people. I believe that preparing these young people for the future means teaching them leadership, perseverance, creativity, and teamwork. What better place to build future decision makers than on the soccer pitch!
When I’m not teaching, or preparing for teaching, you’ll find me outdoors: fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and camping with my family.
